In 2009, Kelvin’s family faced severe hardship when their father, the sole breadwinner, passed away from an incurable disease, leaving them uninsured and unprepared. In 2020, Kelvin himself faced a serious illness, and his mother suffered health complications after a COVID-19 vaccination. Fortunately, they had insurance, which covered their medical expenses and averted another financial crisis. These events inspired Kelvin to shift his career during his undergraduate studies, dedicating himself to educating others about the importance of insurance to help families avoid similar hardships.

Kelvin employs a dreams-based approach in his financial planning, focusing on identifying clients’ financial goals and analysing their current situations to craft tailored solutions. He likens this process to designing a home: understanding the layout (financial situation) before selecting the right furnishings (financial products) to achieve the desired comfort and completeness (financial dreams).
